31. Flowers – The World Ends With You



Shibuya Expressway - February 26th, 2010
An accident had just occurred.
Jun Seba was involved in a traffic accident upon exiting the Shuto Expressway late at night. He died at a hospital in Shibuya Ward after failed efforts to revive him. He was 36 years old. He is best known by his musician name Nujabes. His funeral will be private and only family will be in attendance.

1:26pm - February 27th, 2010



"Did you guys hear about Nujabes last night?" Rhyme asked her friends.



Shiki, Eri, Joshua, Sho, Kariya, Yashiro, and Rhyme were all hanging out at Ramen Don. The only one's not present were Beat and Neku.



"Car crash, right?" Kariya answered.



Rhyme nodded her head.



"That's sucks, he made such great music" Shiki said.



"Yeah, his music was zetta sexy" Sho complimented.



"I agree with the Grim Heaper" Yashiro raised her hand.



Everyone else sweat dropped.



Then Beat came in Ramen Don and asked everyone, "Has anyone seen Phones?"

Everyone nodded no.

"Y'know, he's been acting weird since last night" Eri said. "We were walking by 104 when the news came on the giant board and showing last night's accident. He just left me after seeing that"

"Hmm, well I just looked around the Scramble Crossing and Molco, he wasn't there" Beat said, rubbing his left shoulder.

"

"He's probably in grief of Nujabes", Rhyme wondered "wasn't he a fan of his?" she asked.

Everyone did not know. Neku always kept his headphones on, so no one could hear what he was listening to. The headphones weren't connected to anything but somehow still played music.

"Well, then let's go look for him" Joshua declared.

Everyone nodded and split up.

Beat and Rhyme went to Cadoi City and the Shibu Department Store. Kariya and Yashiro went to Spain Hill and Tipsy Tose Hall. Eri and Shiki went to 104 and the Station Underpass. Sho went to the Udagawa Back Streets. Lastly, Joshua went from Miyashita Park to CAT Street, he'd pay a visit to WILDKAT to ask Mr. Hanekoma if he's seen Neku.

"Neku?" Mr. Hanekoma asked, "Haven't seen him" he shook his head as he told Joshua.

Joshua sighed, "We suspect he's was in grief of Nujabes death. Well, thanks anyway CAT, see ya later" Joshua said as he left the cafe.

"Hmm?" CAT wondered. "I might know where he is."

Pork City - 3:12pm

Mr. Hanekoma opened the door to the roof of Pork City building. He looked around the roof, he saw Neku with his eyes closed, with his headphones on, lying down with his hands on the back of his head and his feet pointing to the sky on the edge of the roof.

"Found him" Mr. Hanekoma said as he walking towards Neku, everyone else following behind him.

Everyone gathered around Neku, who still didn't notice everyone there. Beat decided to make his move. He grabbed Neku's headphones and yelled in his ear, "HEY PHONES!!!". Before Beat could say anything else, he heard the music Neku was listening to.

"That song, i've heard it before." Beat said.

There were tears in Neku's eyes "It's by Nujabes" and he wiped away his tears with his arm,

"It's called Flowers."
